We have developed 4 exciting maintenance programs which we believe is the most efficient and modern solution to keep computers healthy, fast, safe and secure.
Along with CentraStage we can now create a link between your computer and Martin's HelpDesk for realtime maintenance and support, that covers an ever growing amount of options, from keeping your computer safe to performing updates without interupting you.
How does it work?
A little piece of software, especially made for you, is installed on each of your computers. A cloud (internet) connection is then made between you, CentraStage and Martin's HelpDesk.

Keeping your Computer Healthy
Using this new service we are able to proactively check your system/s so that we can anticipate and remedy problems before they wreck your work schedule. Being predictive, we can then spend more quality, personal time with you solving your challenges as opposed to fire fighting your issues. You can then carry on doing what you need to do - work or play!

Conditions
- Currently we are only able to support Windows* based computers. Support for Mac computers is planned for the future.
- You must have a broadband connection running at a speed of 1 Megabit per second* or better.
- Call Out is limited to the Bristol area only. The above fee applies to clients within 12 miles of Bristol. Otherwise an additional amount of £10 will apply to a range within 40 miles of Bristol.
- Each computer must be running a paid subscription security software program*.
- All installed software must be licensed - computers running key generated, pirated or fake software will not be considered.
- All subscriptions are billed annually and payable in advance.
Each job done on your computer generates a Job Ticket
We provide you with Log In details so that you can view a history of all jobs completed by us.
This enables immediate remote takeover when you need help.
The Remote Support Tool is installed and ready for use in all the maintenance plans.
Remote support is billed by the half hour which is half the hourly rate shown (Basic Users and No Plan Users).
We will remotely update your software in the background
Existing installed applications such as:
- Adobe Reader
- Adobe Flash
- Java
- Windows Updates
We can remotely switch off your computers at a requested time each day.
Unused PCs can be automatically turned off at night. (Save up to £50 per year per computer that is currently left on overnight).
We can also remotely optimise the power settings on your computers, to save money when they are not in use.
We can monitor any computer in any of the following areas
- Performance:
Status, CPU, Memory, Disk Usage - Service:
This includes all hardware and software services depending on what is installed on your computer
Examples might be a software update agent or a Bluetooth controller. - Process:
Example: to watch how a process is using the computer resources. - Event:
For example a predifined event happening on your computer can trigger a response such as an email to a specified email address. - Components:
When a component has been installed it can then trigger another component action as well as email a specified email address.
When a laptop or PC is stolen, the device and the data it contains are rarely recovered. This service enables us to track, unbeknown to the new "user", any stolen PC or laptop when it next comes online.
Not only can we identify key data regarding the current user of the device (which may be useful in its recovery), but we can also automatically execute a command to delete all of the sensitive data on the device - using a military-grade overwrite algorithm. We also have tools to view the approximate location of your computer on Google Maps.
Most computers have a single user account running and so when you turn a computer on you go straight to the Windows desktop
If a computer has a user logon password or there are more than one user then you get presented with a login screen.
We can add or delete users as well as change passwords, even before a user has logged onto the computer.
There are ways to speed up a slow, sluggish computer.
We can do this in the background without interupting you
- Defragment your Hard Drive
- Check your CPU and Memory:
By performing a CPU check we can ensure that your machine is suitable for your day to day use, and if it's working irregularly we'll investigate why. - Clean up temporary files, cookies and unnecessary files:
When you are connected to the internet or installing a program, often the package leaves behind some temporary files - we can clean these up giving you more space on your disk and often an enhanced performance. - Improve boot speed:
We do this by delaying or removing programs from the start up. - Remove unused programs and files:
we keep your computer in its freshest state without unwanted, memory hogging software.
We can provide you with alert, activity and summary reports on a regular or period basis.
Reports include our own activity on your computer, changes to your hardware, software or system.
To ensure your utmost privacy, Privacy Mode can be turned on by yourself at anytime. When using this option you will need to turn it off for a specified period of time for your pre-arranged support.
These plans include a monthly vsisit to your premises, to perform any special requests, maintenance and a physical computer cleanup. A backup of all user data is done to an external USB disk drive which is encrypted and kept off-site to keep your data safe at all times. As we have a backup of your data we are able to perform a restore service which can be done remotely to your computer wherever you are. We will also run a check on your broadband performance.
Eset Smart Security antivirus is supplied and installed on each computer (at no extra charge) and kept up to date. Your subscrioption is also renewed at no extra cost, should you continue on this plan. Regular virus checking is undertaken and all updates are included.
